Nivera Calibration Software

Nivera runs the calibration from start to finish. It sets the calibrator, reads the reference and every probe under test, waits until each point is settled and records the deviations with their measurement uncertainty. One operator can calibrate many probes in one unattended run.

A new calibration is set up in five steps, and the settings are remembered for the next run.

Software overview

Calibration programs, settled-point evaluation and probe adjustment in one application.

Nivera connects to the calibrator and to any number of reference and comparison instruments. It runs the calibration program point by point, detects when the reference and each probe are stable, and evaluates every probe against the reference in the same time window.

Probes without a data interface can be calibrated too. A camera reads instruments with a display, and data loggers are evaluated from their own files after the run. Relative humidity and temperature can both be the calibrated quantity, and the second quantity can be evaluated alongside. The reference is corrected by its calibration certificate, every result carries its expanded uncertainty, and a PDF calibration report is one click away. Every reading is kept in a raw log, so a finished measurement can be reopened and evaluated again with other criteria.

Key features

Built for unattended multi-probe calibration.

01

Calibration programs

Points with RH, chamber temperature and length. Generate, edit, save and load programs, and edit points that have not started yet during the run.

02

Settled-point evaluation

Each point is evaluated when the reference and the probe are both stable, with tolerances set for each quantity. The point length can count from the moment the chamber reaches the setpoint.

03

Many probes at once

Probes on the calibrator's ports and on a shared RS-485 bus, each with its own page, results, live values and plot.

04

Probe adjustment

For probes that adjust themselves, Nivera writes the reference value at the selected points and then verifies the result as found and as left.

05

Traceable data

Raw logs are never changed. Results, events and the instrument register with serial numbers are stored in a local database and export to CSV.

06

Clear device status

Every device has its own status indicator and a live communication log, so a fault is shown exactly where it is.

07

Displays read by camera

Instruments with a display are read by a camera with offline digit recognition for 7‑segment LCD and LED, dot-matrix and other fonts. A live camera tab shows what was read, every image is saved, and readings are reviewed and corrected after the run.

08

Data loggers

Loggers without a display or interface record on their own during the run. Their exported file is imported afterwards, matched by serial number and evaluated in the same windows as the reference.

09

Reopen and re-evaluate

Finished measurements open with the same pages and plots, and results can be evaluated again with other criteria.

Metrology

Uncertainty, reference certificates and calibration reports built in.

01

Measurement uncertainty

An uncertainty budget for each quantity: reference certificate, resolution of the probe, type A scatter in the evaluation window and your own contributions. Every result carries its expanded uncertainty with the full breakdown.

02

Reference correction

The reference is corrected by its valid calibration certificate from the first reading, while raw values stay in the log. Nivera warns when a certificate has expired.

03

Digital calibration certificates

Reference certificates can be typed in or imported as a DCC in the PTB XML format, with a check of the serial number before saving.

04

Calibration report in PDF

Instrument, reference and its certificate, method, results with rounded uncertainties, notes and adjustment, ready to print or pass on.

05

Results against tolerance

Deviation plots and tables show your tolerance, out-of-tolerance points stand out in red, and probes are sorted by their worst point. Results at several temperatures are colour-coded.

06

Instrument register

Manufacturer, type, serial number and resolution of every instrument, its certificates and recalibration dates, and export of all results with uncertainties to your own LIMS or ERP.

Supported instruments

Humidity probes, dew-point references, displays and data loggers.

Other Modbus probes can be added with their own register map, and drivers for further instruments are added on request.
